High in the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, the Kággaba have lived as caretakers of the land for generations. They call these mountains the Heart of the World, and they understand their role as keeping it in balance.
Rising from the Caribbean coast toward snow-covered peaks, the Sierra holds an extraordinary range of climates within a single mountain. Ecology, culture and spiritual life here are not separate systems.
Mamos
At the center of that work are the Mamos, spiritual leaders and interpreters of the Law of Origin. They work in Aluna, the spirit in all things, a way of being that comes before the physical world.
Before something takes form, there is thought, intention, and possibility.

Where does the money go?
25% of every shipping fee on free sample orders is contributed to the Kággaba community of Colombia's Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta. The funds support Mamo Manuel and his community directly, along with organizations working to recover and protect Kággaba ancestral lands. We'll share regular updates on the total raised and its impact. Fundraising will continue throughout the life of the film and its distribution, and every free sample adds to that ongoing support.
Does Fractal Forest source its shilajit from the Kággaba?
No. Our Himalayan Shilajit comes from the Himalayas. Our connection to the Kággaba is through the film and shared values, and we’re sponsoring Kággaba and giving back through this offer.
