Living School of Great Welcome × Fractal Forest

Living School of Great Welcome is a land-based initiative that acts as a bridge to remember what has been temporarily lost. That is, ways to be permeable to Earth, to be shaped back into coherence, back into a felt relationship with mystery, inherent dignity, and intuitive action.

The revolution is simple and profound: to live ‘with Earth’ again, the living, verbing reality of home.

Mission

Living School of Great Welcome, led by Jonah Jensen and Luna Rae Rodriguez, is a land-based school rooted in the wilds of Southwestern Colorado and the coastal lands of Southern Oaxaca.

Through ecosomatic practices, ritual, dreamwork, and councilwork, they guide people back into felt relationship with the animate world: the original rhythm, dignity, and intelligence that has always been available.

This is where Fractal Forest and Living School of Great Welcome meet: in the conviction that true wellness begins where our relationship with Earth is restored.

01 // Shaped by Earth

Living School of Great Welcome exists to restore our felt relationship with the living world, to re-member what modern culture has slowly obscured: that we belong to Earth, that we are shaped by it, and that our original gifts arise from that belonging.

Their work is a collection of practiced tools, each one a way of listening and sensing more deeply: to the body, to place, to that original intelligence. Through practice, reciprocity with the living world becomes a daily orientation. The culture that grows from this kind of practice is slower, more coherent, and more alive, built from presence rather than productivity.

02 // Coherence as a lived practice

Our positioning statement has always been: restore coherence between your biology and nature's intelligence. Living School of Great Welcome lives that same intention in the body, in community, in land. Their ecosomatic tools, councils, dreamwork, wanders, ritual, are how people metabolize what is present, move through shadow, and return to wholeness.

The practice at its core is listening with the whole body. Through this quality of attention, nothing is excluded: sensation, emotion, memory, the intelligence of place. True inclusivity, in this sense, is a somatic skill. As that capacity deepens, health follows as something the body naturally returns to when it is fully heard. What emerges is essence: the story of who you actually are, animated by the living world around you.
